	Hello all,
My name is Vladimir and I'm from Novi Sad, Yugoslavia.
I hope that you can help me with my problem. To cut the long story
short, I'm building a 1.2 GHz ATV (Amateur Television) repeater. The
repeater will operate on 1240 MHz which will be the INPUT (receive)
frequency and 1280 MHz, which will be OUTPUT (transmit) frequency. I'm
planning to use a single antenna on both frequencies, because there's
room only for a single omidirectional antenna on the mast. That's where
my problem starts. I need an antenna duplexer. I've searched the
Internet, discussion groups, forums, ftp's and all I have found was
HIGH QUALITY, PROFESSIONAL and VERY, VERY EXPENSIVE antenna duplexers
for police, military etc. The price ranges were from 790-3000 $ US!!!
All those duplexers were of fine quality , but designed to withstand
transmitters with 50-100W RF power. I need a cheaper duplexer capable
of good IN/OUT frequency separation (approx. 40-60 dB), small insertion
loss (up to 1 dB) and PASSBAND return power loss of approx. 17-20 dB.
I'm planning to use a 1W transmitter for the time being, but maybe some
day I'll "upgrade" to 20W. So the duplexer would have withstand a
MAXIMUM output power of 20W. Can you help me find a good DUPLEXER
CAVITY design for small RF input such as mine?
