Gang,
The following is a message from Tom Haddon (K5VH) to the Roadrunners
Microwave Group. It talks about a new wattmeter that us usuable from 900 -
2500 mhz. A microwave watt meter for under $300 for all our commonly used
ATV bands. Read and be informed.
If there is enough interest in Houston for a local group buy, we'll talk
about it at the meeting this week.

>Hi Roadrunners,

>I just perused the latest QST, and noted on page 168 an ad from NCG about
>new Daiwa power meters. Thes are versions working from 900 - 2500 MHz which
>feature the dual crossed meter approach which Daiwa pioneered on the lower
>bands. Now they have one for us which has power ranges of 2 and 20 watts -
>perfect for DEMI transverters and their amplifier. Now we can get
>simultaneous SWR. The model is CN-801S.

>I called them in Anaheim CA and they said that HRO and AES would be
>providing them. I called AES and they did not have any of these listed in
>their data base. Same with HRO - they are too new. I next called NCG back
>and negotiated a 12% discount if we ordered five or more. List is to be
>about $260; we can get them in a group order for $229 plus shipping.
>
>I intend to order five -- any takers?
