Gang,
Time is approaching for the next run of the HATS FM ATV transmitter. A
couple of questions for you folks to ponder and respond to.
Please hit respond to this message if you answer YES to any of the
following questions. Please DONT if you aren't interested :-)
1. Are you interested in buying one of the next batch of HATS FM ATV
Transmitter? yes/no
2. Are you interested in buying more than one? quantity?
3. What band(s) are you interested in
(quantity)? 33cm, 23cm, 13cm
4. What power level? approx. 10
milliwatts, 50 milliwatts, 2 watts
Special 33 cm section.
If you are interested in 33cm would you be interested in a milliwatt
version or a higher powered version, realizing that the higher power
version might cost more (supply/demand).? mw/W
FYI, the last production HATS transmitter was available in the following
configurations:
33cm/23cm - 10 milliwatt, 50 milliwatt (true dual band capability)
23cm - 2 watt, using a Mitsubishi power module
13cm - 10 milliwatt, 50 milliwatt.
We have found a couple of 900 mhz. power modules that would make a 2 watt
version possible but not a drop-in replacement to the Mitsubishi module. A
different board layout would be required. Many are using old cellular
telephone amplifiers that take milliwatts to drive to many watts. If there
is sufficient demand for a 2 watt, 33 cm version we can do that but not for
half a dozen transmitters.
The new HATS design will come standard with two aural subcarriers (you can
turn one or both off by zeroing the injection level), and switch selection
of two different, pre-set frequencies. The most popular, by far, of the
last run was the 2 watt, 1.2 ghz. version and the 50 milliwatt 2.4 ghz.
version.
Additional comments are always welcome.
