Here is a picture to tease ya with...a JPG of the old Channel
11 antenna here in Dallas...BTW this antenna was HandBUILT by
William JB Smith (Broadcast consulting engineer here in
DFW....who has probably forgotten more than the rest of us
will ever remember or know! :)
I hope the remailer passes the JPG ok..
BTW the dog in the shot is my Max "the Transmitter Dog"
a lab/rott mix I rescused at an AM transmitter site some
months back...figured you could use his size to gauge the
antenna...but remember this is built for 212 MHz and is
capable of handling several KW of power...UHF and ham
use will be easier to build...the antenna is three bays
all fed independantly..you can see the rigid line feeds
at the bottom I think at the left and the power leads for
tower lamps and deicing..
