Now this should make anyone drool if they have a 2 gig input to their ATV
repeater.

COMMERCIAL BROADCAST UNIT: NURAD QUAD SECTOR 2 GIG RECEIVE SYSTEM

Taken out of ENG service at the Hancock Building to make room for DTV
antennas.

Consists of: 4 Sector scan horns. These are triangular in shape (broadside
view) and about 18" top to bottom, and front to back. They are about 2" wide
(mouth opening) for 2.0-2.5 Gig operation. Each antenna is bolted to its own
weather tight box. The box houses electronics to select polarity: H V LHCP
or RHCP. The internal guts is a bunch of microwave relays and SMA semi hard
coax. There is a band pass filter on each antenna. You will have to bypass
them to work on the ham band and they are 2 db loss. They are very sharp
filters. They can be retuned if you want to keep them in circuit. The low
end cutoff is ENG channel 5 although they vary a little from age. The upper
end is beyond my generator, likely ENG channel 8 or 10. The 2.5 Gig band is
above the ham band so the filters may pass the ham band. I could not measure
it at 2.4 Gig, as my ENG transmitter stops at the end of the 2.0 gig portion
of the ENG band.

Here's the killer! Each has a 30 DB GAIN LOW NOISE preamp-line amp! They
feed 2 gig directly out of a N connector on the bottom. The amp is
controlled by a built in voltage regulator circuit. Three of these test
good. One tests - 9 db (loss) meaning the front or rear end of the two stage
amp is blown. They can be repaired or replaced. So you get three good amps,
and one that needs work. The four antennas orient EWNS (or whatever 4
direction you choose) and everything operates on 26 volts DC. There is no
power supply but there is a complete control panel to select polarity and
direction.

You can combine the outputs to one using any 2.4 gig combiner, or I have a
brand new 4 position SMA connector coax switch that also runs on 26 volts
(matches).

There is lots of room in the boxes if you want to add a down converter,
although 30 DB gain will drive a LOT of coax! The antennas have an honest
gain of 13 db each.

Yes you can "stack" them into one or more directions if you do not want omni
coverage, or split them up for multiple sites or site to site links.

They can be shipped in 4 boxes UPS, plus a box for the rack mount controller.
Controller is about 3 rack units high. Lots of lights and switches, can be
remoted. Seven wire cable connects controller to antennas. use regular rotor
cable.

I also have a two gig H-P traveling wave power amp. Put 20 watts to your
coax!

So help pay for my $33,000 lawn mower and take these off my hands for your
best offer received before Christmas. Buyer pays shipping packing or picks
up. PICK UP PREFERRED!
