The tower crew finally got the AA9XW ATV repeater antenna mounted at 750
feet. Now I am looking for a mast mounted preamp with remote bypass relay (in
case it goes bad). It needs to have some bandwidth filtering as there is
our ch 17, DTV, ch 56 NTSC and a few 470 Mhz leases on the same tower. I am
driving 850 feet of coax (!) For the curious, it is an Andrew ALP LPTV
antenna specially made for 420-450 Mhz. VSWR is less than 1.05:1 across the
entire band @ 9 to 9.8 db gain omni horizontal gain. The receive is 439.25
LOWER VSB. I will also have a band splitter so I can add additional antennas
for RX on the same coax.

The transmit antenna is at 450 feet, since I can push a lot more watts to
make up for coax loss, and am adding a band splitter on the TX side as well
to add additional antennas on the same coax. output is 421.25 Mhz VSB.

As soon as the new coax is in (with the preamp) we will be back on the air.
Should have good coverage from 1450 feet AMSL.
