Gang,

Well, October got away from us and we did not celebrate the 10th
anniversary of the first organization meeting for HATS. Yes, HATS was 10
years old last month.

So, I thought we might do something a little different this month.

The repeater is 99% complete at Ron's barn out in Brookshire. We still
need to put on a couple of heliax connectors and do some testing.

Conveniently, we have a meeting coming up in a week. So . . .

The November meeting of the Houston Amateur Television Society, Inc. will
be held in Ron Sparks' Barn.

We will try to monitor 146.52 simplex for talk-in, but the directions are
simple. Take the first Brookshire exit (#732) and turn south (left) onto
FM359 at the light . Go under I-10, 1.25 miles to the city limits sign.
FM359 curves left and continues to Fulshear, and Church Road continues
straight (if you cross the creek you missed it). Go to the end of Church
Road (0.25 mi.) and continue through the gate into AG5RS property. If the
gate is closed, that means COWS, please close it back. If the gate is
open, that means NO COWS and you may leave it open.

GPS is 29.7522 N by 95.9504 W

Most of you have been there before for a field day event. For this
meeting, we intended to have the new repeater operational on an outside
antenna. If you have 421.25 receive capability (you lucky R3 owners) watch
it on the way in. It will be vertically polarized for this evening.

Dinner will be provided this time. Don't bother to stop for Margaritas
first, just head on. Anybody have a Margarita machine? Ron does have a
blender. Pizza ok for everyone?

Please bring a folding chair with you for this meeting.
