Ron,
I received a similar scam about three weeks ago, except it was a unbelievably good spoof of ebay.com. The email said someone had hacked my account and gave me a link to go to in order to fix it. The link looked just like an official ebay page, headers, graphics, spoofed address and all. When I saw what info they wanted, purportedly to "verify" my account info, I knew it was a scam. They wanted not only my name, email, password, and SS number, but also my mother's maiden name, bank info, etc. Incredible! I can't imagine anyone falling for this scam, but I'll bet somewhere there is some unsuspecting person who has had their complete identity stolen by this scam.
