Even though you may be located some distance from us, we would like to let everyone know about our new ATV repeater:

Amateur Television Network of Illinois
Rockford Amateur Radio Association

Amateur Television Repeater

Location: OSF St. Anthony Hospital
5666 E. State St.
Rockford, Illinois

N 42-16-35
W 89-1-58

Height above sea level - 877 feet
Antennas are mounted at 110 feet above ground level

Input: 1.253 GHz FM Vertical Omni
Output: 421.25 MHz AM Horizontal Omni

Future Input: 434 MHz AM Horizontal Omni

Power out: 65 watts currently

Reports - P0 to P5 for Picture quality with P0 being no picture and P5 being great.

The repeater was put on the air from St. Anthony on October 9th. So far we have a few reports from Racine - P1; Downers Grove -
P1/2; Malta, IL - P5; Plano, IL - P1/2; and other similar reports plus local reports that are P3-5 depending on location, how high
the antenna and gain of the antenna. I am very optomistic from these reports as I did not figure we would cover such a wide area.

If you do not have ATV equipment, you can take a cable ready TV and put it on channel 57 cable to an outside horizontally polarized
antenna pointed towards the hospital in Rockford.

Any reception reports are welcome. Please send to: atvq@hampubs.com . Currently the repeater identifys for 10 seconds every 10
minutes with video and CW (on the TV audio) unless someone has brought it up with a signal or for range testing.

If you would like to join the conversation in our ATV group, send the instructions are:
