[HQRP] VE Test Session - 2/19/00

              RESULTS OF THE FEBRUARY 19TH AMATEUR EXAMS

HQRP sponsored and administered the ARRL's Amateur Radio Examinations
that were held on Saturday morning, February 22, 2000 in conjunction
with our February monthly meeting at the Union Planters Bank Community
Room, 5005 Woodway here in Houston.

A total of 16 examination elements were administered during the morning to 12 
applicants.  One (1) unlicensed candidate received his new Technician
licenses;
Two (2) others upgraded their license status to Technicain Plus; and Eight
(8) 
others successfully passed with a total of 13 elements passed.  The overall 
"pass rate" for the session was 81%
