Hey, Gang,

1) Nice article in QST January 2003 on building a Z-Match type of antenna
matching network. Parts are all fairly easy to get....maybe the air
variable caps would be difficult but EPO had a few of similar specs the
last time I was there in December. Coolest part is the optional, very
simple SWR bar graph indicator....very nice, indeed.

2) For Ted K.....et al...At the last meeting Ed talked about cheap 10
meter rigs (Uniden and Rat Shack)...the folks that do the "chipswitch"
enhancement for going to 12 meters, etc. are at

http://www.chipswitch.com/

Yes 12 meters requires a bit more tweaking but nothing out of the ordinary
for a normal ham. All of the info you could ever want is on their web site.

3) ??????.....Has anyone been successful in signing onto Fred Juch's Ham
Com 2003 List server? I have been trying since Ed's first note and all I
get is nothing when going through what the web site says to do....I get
absolutely no response in the least...... what's the trick?

Regards...Rick
