Did u see this msg on the QRP-L reflector today.
I also sent this msg to Wayne Rogers up in Spring, TX. Maybe we can get
another fellow ham interessted in QRP and ARCI and contesting? Maybe?
Didn't know if ur interested but thought I would send u this copy of his msg
anyway.... sounds like a nice enuff fellow. Maybe u could steer him in the
right direction - sounds llike he might turn into a qrp'er!

CW ONLY operator for 31 years, same callsign!
Dit Dah Dit - the ONLY "ROGER" prosign I ever want to hear!
If is isn't CW; it's CB or it's NOISE.
LIVE by this motto: "Life should NOT be a journey to the grave intent of
arriving in a somber pristine body, but rather to come skidding in sideways,
paddles in one hand, climbing belt in the other, body thoroughly skinned &
beat up, SCREAMING, "Yee Haw, pardners; what a gol'durn ride!"

I'm an absolute beginner with QRP and HF. Don't even have a XCVR or
any other gear at the moment, so I'll be putting together some kits
soon and hopefully getting some kind of random wire or unstraight
dipole setup in this jungle of high power cables known as my
neighborhood.
I have had no luck finding a local QRP group (I am in Pasadena,
southeast of Houston, TX) and the only lead I had is a basically empty
page. http://www.hqrp.stevens.com/
Can anyone help with finding locals that are already known to be into
building and QRP CW?
Also if anyone has any unfinished or new kits for HF transceivers,
extra antenna wire, etc that they would like to get rid of, please let
me know. My arm is broken right now and I'm not able to do a whole lot
work-wise, so the name of the game is getting on the air as absolutely
inexpensively as possible.
Thanks,
Chris, KC5PFI
