Although I haven't tried the camera version of this, I did buy the DVD
anywhere and am quite happy with it.

I wasn't able to sort out the output network of the transmitter, so I just
used it as it came. I popped in a MMIC amp based on the plans you see for
the Wavecom units and havenoticed a marked increase in the output power.
Unfortunately the snow came before I got a chance to see what the new range
was like though.

I found that my Radio Shack frequency meter was able to just barely trigger
on the output of the transmitter. According to it, the frequencies are the
same as those used by the WaveCom's. The frequency select switch simply
picks off a 4 voltages from a resistor ladder. By adjusting the two little
pots on the underside of the board near the front you can easily move all 4
frequencies into the ham band. The receiver uses the same pricipla but
unfortunately I don't have the equipment to allow me to a confirm that I
have the receive frequencies set properly.

Good luck and have fun with them.
