Hi, Mark.

Yes, know about that event. I don't think we need to reschedule. The QRP
Club meeting is from 9 - 11 so we will be over with in plenty of time for
folks who want to drive up to HARS to do so and still have all afternoon to
participate.

As a reminder - if you have an FT-817, you are assigned the following task.

Bring your FT-817 and plan to spend 5 to 10 minutes discussing some
technique you have learned in its use. Try to have a couple of things to
talk about in case the person before you covers your topic :-)

Hopefully, we will have another planned topic for your edification but,
those of you building 2N2-40's, plan to bring them and show them off. See
- another week to get your building on a crash schedule.

One last thing. If you are interested in terrestrial microwave operation,
Texas has two clubs devoted to that pursuit. We're talking weak signal
work on the bands above 432 mhz. There is the North Texas Microwave
Society and there is the Roadrunners Microwave Group (covering South
Texas). Normally, meetings are held in the Austin area due to the
concentration of members in that part of the state. However, once a year,
the meeting is held in the Houston area and this year will be held at my
house near the Galleria. The meeting will be Saturday afternoon, 12noon -
3pm with the first hour for socializing and hot dogs and the actual meeting
beginning at 1pm. If you are interested in attending this meeting, please
drop me a note.

See you next week!
Ed, N5EM
