It's nearly here!

Once again, the Houston AMSAT group will be having Field Day activities on
the west side of town at AG5RS's location. You can see a map with
directions, courtesy W5ACM, by e-mailing him or me. It is easy to get here,
we are 8 min west of Katy Mills Mall just off I-10.

Here is the info:

Activity Schedule --

Saturday up to 10am You will be barked at by, at the least, the dogs
          10am-2pm	Setup all equipment
          2pm-3pm Test, Debug, Calibrate
          3pm-11pm Various Satellite passes
         11pm- Sun.4am Mostly AO-40 and naps
Sunday 4am- 10am Various Satellite passes
         10am- noon Takedown, cleanup
		1pm Finished!

Equipment --

Pretty much covered for main satellite operating.
All support equipment (tents, ice chests, generators, etc.) on hand.
If you would like to do H.F. between passes, bring your equipment.

Needs --

One small window A/C in the 5,000 to 12,000 BTU/hr range, Screened Tent to
put the food in, Ice, Drinks (cold and hot), Snacks (chips, fruit, party
trays <grin>, etc.), Sandwich fixings (lettuce, tomato, lunch meat, bread,
mayo, etc.). Bring what you like, all is welcome.

What you will need --

Folding Chairs, Mosquito Repellent, Hat, Gloves, Sunscreen,
bedroll/cot/airmatress(?), towel and swimsuit (if you want to cool off in
the pool). Anything else personal you might want (medicine, hygiene items,
etc). Also you may want to bring a few dollars for "nice food". We will
probably pass the hat Saturday afternoon and have someone go to Dozier's in
Fulshear (7 min) for BBQ and Smoked Turkey. Alternately Burger King and
Jack in the Box are 2 min away and George T's Pizza and Fried Chicken will
deliver.

Access you will have --

Swimming pool, water hose, and (if you behave <grin>) the XYL will let you
in the house to the restroom. We will have a pop-up trailer again this year
so some "hot swapping" of the two bunks is possible and it will have a sink
and stove.

Talk in --

We will try to monitor 146.52 simplex for talk-in, but the directions are
simple. Take the first Brookshire exit (#732) and turn south (left) onto
FM359 at the light . Go under I-10 1.25 miles to the city limits sign.
FM359 curves left and continues to Fulshear, and Church Road continues
straight (if you cross the creek you missed it). Go to the end of Church
Road (0.25 mi.) and continue through the gate into AG5RS property. CLOSE
THE GATE -- there are cows. GPS is 29.7522 N by 95.9504 W

Hope to see you,

73 de AG5RS
