The Highland Lakes Amateur Radio Club is hosting its Third Annual Free Swap
Meet Saturday morning September 6th. The meet will be held at the "Lakeside
Pavilion" in Marble Falls. (The Burnet site we used the past two years is no
longer available.)

We think the Pavilion will be a good location for the Swap Meet; it's
located on the north bank of Lake Marble Falls, a short distance West of the
Hw 281 bridge. It has a roof that covers more than 5000 sq., electrical
outlets, restrooms, and 30 tables that will be available on a
first-come-first-serve basis. We expect to have enough chairs to meet
everyone's needs but if you are not going to arrive early it might be
advisable to bring your own table. Tailgaters will be welcome to set up in
the parking but no spaces will be reserved. The City has regulations
pertaining to alcohol and firearms on park property so we ask that neither
be brought to the Pavilion.

Our Club VEs are scheduling license exams on site at 11am. If you have any
questions about the exams please contact Don Graves and dgraves@tstar.net

We hope to attract a good crowd and would appreciate any help you can give
us getting word out to Hams in your area.

More information on the Meet is posted on the clubs website: www.hlarc.org

A talk-in station will be manned on 146.660(-) with access tone 88.5.

DIRECTIONS: From Hw 281 turn west onto 1st St., then TURN LEFT at the first
intersection (Ave. H), proceed south to the first Stop Sign, then TURN
RIGHT, you will pass a boat ramp, a tennis court and a swimming pool. The
Pavilion is a large structure located just past the swimming pool.
